ISGS - Teacher Information
Teachers or others interested in bringing groups to attend the ISGS Open House please contact us in advance, call Cindy Briedis at 217-244-2762 or send your request to openhouse@isgs.illinois.edu.
We will help you plan your visit and provide you with information to help ensure that your group has the best experience possible. We will provide your students with geologic samples, handouts, and maps. We will also send your school a copy of the ISGS GeoActivities Series Notebook: Activities and other resources for teaching geology. Focus: Grades 4-12, which includes geology related curricula aligned with the Illinois Learning Standards for Science.
