Major Responsibilities

I provide support for hydrogeologic studies of wetlands and wetland mitigation sites throughout Illinois that are related to the Illinois Department of Transportation's wetland mitigation program.

• Measuring on-site surface-water and groundwater levels and collecting on-site precipitation data
• Field activities including surveying instrument levels and installing and maintaining monitoring wells and other field instruments used to collect water-level measurements
• Data processing, database maintenance, and report preparation
• Collecting and interpreting historical, environmental, and geologic data

Current Research Projects

• Groundwater protection for Illinois Nature Preserves and natural areas

Research Interests

• Karst hydrology
• Quaternary climate
