Major Responsibilities

• Prepare computer-generated maps and data with information regarding mine locations, mined-out areas.
• Updating and maintenance of Coal Section Stratigraphic Database including processing of new data in the database, acquisition of new drill hole and mine data.
• Mine visits and coal mine geology assistance to coal companies and others.
• Coal geology and Stratigraphy
• Updating of active mine map database in GIS system in coordination with Office of Mines and Minerals
• Team member of OMM and NCRDS contract to keep mine, drill hole and mine geology data current in Coal Section database and the development of new GIS projects with OMM team

• updates to 7.5 minute quadrangle mine series
