Her research areas include geochemistry and petrography as related to carbon sequestration in the Illinois Basin and petrology and petrography organic-rich rocks. She is a member of The Society of Organic Petrology, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, and the Geological Society of America (Coal Division).
Lois has been with the ISGS since 2010.
