Illinois Natural History SurveyThe Illinois Natural History Survey investigates and documents the biological resources of Illinois and other areas and acquires and provides natural history information that can be used to promote the common understanding, conservation, and management of these resources.
Waste Management and Research CenterThe Waste Management and Research Center is a non-regulatory service organization affiliated with the University of Illinois. Services offered include: sophisticated analytical laboratory support, a library and clearinghouse on environmental and pollution prevention issues, and research funding to explore a wide range of issues impacting waste management in Illinois.
Illinois State Water SurveyThe Illinois State Water Survey provides sound scientific and engineering data that are a necessary foundation for making wise decisions related to water resource issues and other issues such as climate change, severe weather, and air quality. The Water Survey also provides scientific and engineering data to researchers and the public.
Illinois State MuseumThe Illinois State Museum fosters an understanding and appreciation of Illinois by collecting and disseminating information on the state's natural, cultural, and artistic heritage. This purpose is served by preserving and utilizing collections and associated data to acquire new knowledge through research and by promoting learning through exhibition and educational programs.
