Quaternary

Pleistocene glacial processes significantly modified the topography of Lake County. The sand and gravel beds within these glacial deposits are important aquifers for residential development within Lake County. These aquifers are commonly discontinuous and are interbedded with lake and till sediment that form aquitards.
