Open File Series Maps (OFS)

Open File Series mapping products are primarily county maps at scales smaller than 1:24,000, often created to address specific societal issues such as siting for sanitary landfills. Also, a few 1:24,000-scale OFS quadrangle maps were released in the early 1990s. OFS maps received brief internal scientific review and conformed to ISGS standards at the time of release. They are available for sale as paper copies and as free downloadable PDF files through the ISGS Web site. This series is no longer used for new publications.
