STATEMAP Project
STATEMAP 1:24,000-scale geologic maps were produced with U.S. Geological Survey funds matched by the ISGS. They typically include only bedrock and surficial geology themes, and they were produced within a one-year timeframe. STATEMAP products are available only as downloadable graphics through this website, and all will eventually be upgraded to the Illinois Preliminary Geologic Map (IPGM) or the Illinois Geologic Quadrangle (IGQ) Series. They comply with ISGS cartographic standards at the time of public release, but have not been formally reviewed. For more details about the program, refer to the USGS STATEMAP page.
