Coalescing valley glaciers
Location: Northern Baffin Island, Nunavut, Canada
This image was taken from a commercial airliner at an altitude likely exceeding 6,000 meters a.s.l. Note the deformation of debris-rich lateral moraines in the upper right portion of image and well-developed trim lines and the avalanches on slopes along the margins of these shrinking glaciers.
